There is a balance between protecting the public from explortation and restricting free thinking and open debate. Where the material being placed on the internet involves the explortation of children, vulnerable people or supports criminal acts, then measures are required to moderate the information.

Recent polling show that people support rent control by a margin of nine to one. Do you support a rent control that limits rent rises between tenancies as well as during tenancies?

We feel that rent control is to wide a term. We support rent monitoring to ensure local people can afford local homes. We are especially concerned as to the needs of young people and hence our policy of wanting to support young people into independence by supporting access to deposit schemes.
