Data on people should only be kept for as long as is necessary and then it should be destroyed. Surveillance should only be carried out when the is a clear and identifiable need.

The right of parents to remain with their children in hospital has been established for over forty years. How would you ensure carers of people with dementia are equally welcome in hospital?

Carers should be given a carers passport that gives them access to services as well as unlimited visiting hours and free parking t the hospitals.

The standards of goods and services that are essential, such as food and water, are generally highly regulated. Do you support enforced minimum standards in housing as a precondition of a renting?

Yes absolutely. Rental properties need to be safe and clean. Renters should not be lumbered with high heating bills, just because a landlord won't insulate their property.

Governments implement policies that directly and indirectly impact on house prices. Do you think house prices are too high?

Yes, way to high. The average home should be affordable by the average salary.

Private sector landlords receive over £27bn a year in housing benefit and tax breaks. Would you support a rent tax that recouped up to a third of this to fund new housing supply?

Yes. Private landlords should not be profiteering from our individuals most in need, especially at the expense of the tax payer,

To what degree should access to information on the internet be restricted by the state or private companies?

Private companies should only keep the information necessary to protect their intellectual property. This should only be retained for short timeand they should not be collecting personal information. The government can get a court order to get this information if they need to.

Recent polling show that people support rent control by a margin of nine to one. Do you support a rent control that limits rent rises between tenancies as well as during tenancies?

Yes, absolutely. I also support long leases. We need to rebuild some of our communities that are blighted by lots of homes on short leases.

Would you support the creation of a Royal Commission to review Britain’s drug laws?
