I do not think that English people should tell Scottish or Northern Irish people how to govern themselves. The English experience of telling other people how to lead their societies is not encouraging.

The standards of goods and services that are essential, such as food and water, are generally highly regulated. Do you support enforced minimum standards in housing as a precondition of a renting?

organisation: Generation Rent

The private water companies are not regulated anywhere near enough. Water bill are very high, and industrial waste Fluoride is added to the drinking water in many English regions. This ought to be of great concern to nursing mothers, and the elderly, and to all those engaged in competitive sports. Rents in Oxford are at the mercy of the markets. Landlords can increase rents with no reference to the average earnings of the people of Oxford. Renting should be highly regulated. A section of rents must be available for people who live on Oxford Living wage.
